Remove the failed 344-5133 Angling Cylinder Gp from the machine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR8915, "Angle Cylinder (Bulldozer)", "Removal Procedure" to remove the angling cylinder group.
Inspect the replacement cylinder for the rework identification etching/marking "344-5133-04" near the lines port on the rod end. If the etching marking is "344-5133-04", install the cylinder on the machine. If the cylinder still reflects an older change level, perform the following procedure to bring an older cylinder up to "344-5133-04" which has the same benefits as a 448-1988 Angling Cylinder Gp .
Remove locknut (A) and discard the part. Use new locknut (A) for later use.
Increase piston (B) tightening specification to 1300 65 N m (960 48 lb ft).
Install new locknut (A) and tighten to a specified torque of 900 50 N m (664 37 lb ft).Note: Lubricate the threads and face of locknut (A) prior to tightening.
As needed, replace seal assembly (C) and wear ring (D) on the piston, and O-ring seal (E) and backup ring (F) on the head.
Assemble back the angling cylinder group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR8915, "Angle Cylinder (Bulldozer)", "Installation Procedure" to install the angling cylinder group.
Once the rework is completed, mark the reworked cylinder body by etching or marking the part number identification with "344-5133-04". This mark can be found near the lines port on the rod end.
Repeat Step 1 through 8 for the opposing cylinder.
Inspect the condition of the cylinder rod eye self-aligning bearing (G) and replace, if needed.
Replace the reworked cylinder on the machine.
Grease all four bearings (G) liberally.
Before assembling the angle circuit hoses for both cylinders, replace four 3K-0360 O-Ring Seals and four 6V-8398 O-Ring Seals .
