Upstream Protection
When servicing or repairing electric power generation equipment:Make sure the unit is off-line (disconnected from utility and/or other generators power service), and either locked out or tagged DO NOT OPERATE. Remove all fuses.
The circuit breakers that are listed in Table 1 comply with the rated capacity of the fuses that are installed within the UPS. Place a label that contains the following statement on each of the circuit breakers:"Isolate Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) before working on this circuit."

The protection that is indicated ensures discrimination for each output circuit that is downstream of the UPS. The circuit is protected whether supply voltage is the normal AC or the AC bypass inputIf the correct circuit breakers are not installed, then a short circuit on an output circuit can result in a break in power. This break in power can last longer than 20 milliseconds on all of the other output circuits.Note: See the simplified diagrams in the "Electrical Specifications" of the Reference section for common AC inputs or separate AC inputs. These diagrams indicate the positions of the protection devices and the characteristics of the internal fuses for the UPS. These diagrams also indicate the line currents for the UPS under overload conditions.Leakage of Current to Earth
The leakage of the current to earth is 1 Amp.
