Inspection and Cleaning
Check the connectors for corroded contacts or dirty contacts.
Check the connectors for stripped threads or otherwise damaged threads.
Check the connectors in order to ensure that the connectors are tight.
Check the swing sensor in order to ensure that the swing sensor is free of debris.Display Cleaning
In order to maintain sufficient vision, the display may need to be cleaned periodically due to the environment.Use a soft, damp cloth in order to clean the display. Use only water on the cloth. The display has a soft plastic surface. The display surface is easily damaged by any object that is abrasive. The display is NOT sealed, therefore cannot be immersed or pressure washed. Display Cable Removal
If the cable to the display is to be removed for ANY reason, the key switch of the machine must be first turned to the OFF position. If the key switch is not turned to the OFF position before unplugging the display cable, this could cause a loss of data stored within the display due to improper shutdown.Mast General Maintenance and Care
Inspection and Cleaning
Inspect the masts and clean the masts of the AccuGrade system when the masts are removed from the machine or when the masts are serviced. Use the following list for information in order to inspect the masts and clean the masts.
Check the connectors for corroded contacts or dirty contacts.
Check the connectors for stripped threads or damaged threads.
Check the lead screw assembly of the inner mast tube for excessive movement. The maximum allowable movement is 0.76 mm (0.03 inch).
Check the seal for the top inner tube for wear and damage.
Check the drain hole that is located at the lower edge of the mast assembly.
Check the mounting hole for stripped threads or damaged threads.
Verify that the retaining ring is present and properly seated in the groove at the top of the inner mast tube.
Check the shock mount for the mast for damage, loose hardware, or worn parts.
Clean the housing for the mast and the inner mast tube with any standard general purpose cleaner. The list of cleaners that can be used includes glass cleaner, kitchen cleaner, foaming type cleaner, and water and a mild detergent.
In order to prevent damage to the masts, DO NOT use solvents in order to clean the masts. The solvants that should NOT be used include alcohol, acetone, degreasers, paint thinners, or other hydrocarbon base type solvents.
In order to prevent damage to the masts, DO NOT apply any type of lubricants to the outside surface of the inner mast tube. The coating on the outside surface of the inner mast tube is self-lubricating.
Mechanical Maintenance
The masts must be cleaned, lubricated, and inspected in two year periods. This should be done more frequently if the AccuGrade system is used continuously or if the system is used in extreme environments.Electrical Maintenance
