Swing Hydraulic System
The swing hydraulic system is isolated from the main pump system.Swing pump is a variable displacement bi-directional piston pump. The swing motor drives a gear reduction swing drive, which has a pinion gear attached to the output shaft. The pinion gear engages with the internal gear teeth of the large swing gear (swing bearing). The swing gear internal race is held stationary to the undercarriage structure. When the swing motor rotates, the upper structure rotates above the undercarriage.Swing joystick movement causes an electrical signal to be sent to a solenoid at the swing solenoid valve and manifold. An activated swing solenoid will send upper main hydraulic valve pilot oil to the swing pump throttle piston. The throttle piston directs pilot oil to the swash plate actuator. This action results in swing pump flow. The swing pump will send high-pressure pump supply oil to the swing motor. The movement of the swing joystick controls the volume and direction of oil flow to the swing motor.The swing system includes the additional components:
