Modification of 7G3483 Air Conditioner Wiring
1 Install 3T3949 Wire Assembly (1) as shown. This wire is used to connect the receiver-dryer pressure switch wires (orange/black) together; the receiver-dryer pressure switch was not used on earlier machines. On the 988B and 992C machines, remove terminals (A) [condenser motor] and (B) [compressor clutch] and install one 2S5015 Terminal and one 3S8183 Connector (each wire). On all other machines, also remove terminal (C) [ammeter] and install one 2S5015 Terminal and one 3S8183 Connector. On the control console, remove the existing wiring harness from blower motor switch (2) and install 7G4297 Wiring Harness (3) as shown.Installation of Adapter and Couplings - 7G3483
1 Install a 3T3948 Adapter and 5F9144 Seal at location (A). Remove the existing couplings from the air conditioner supply and return hoses. Install a 5P6673 Coupling and 1S8947 Seal (return hose) and a 5P2493 Coupling and 5F9144 Seal (supply hose). Connect 5P6673 Coupling (return) at location (B) and 5P2493 Coupling (supply) to 3T3948 Adapter at location (A). Install a 3T556 Tube, 3T1180 Nut and 3T1181 Sleeve at locations (C) and (D) for the heater hoses (if so equipped).Modification of 7G3480 Condenser Group
1 Find the correct wire for the condenser motors; remove connector (1), (2) or (3) and install a 3S8183 Connector and 2S5015 Terminal. The other two connectors are not needed. Install a 3T3948 Adapter and 5F9144 Seal at location (A). Remove the existing coupling on the condenser hose; install a 5P482 Coupling with a 6M5062 Seal and again connect the hose at location (B) on the condenser.
