Introduction
This procedure is performed to inform the brake ECM of the status of the differential cooler. Perform the configuration of the differential cooler when one of the following conditions occur:
The ECM has been replaced.
The differential cooler has been installed on the machine.
The differential cooler has been removed from the machine.Required Tools

Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) service tool    The Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) service tool is used to access the configurations. Cat ET will give instructions that guide the user through the configuration. Refer to the manual that is provided with Cat ET for more information.Procedure
Verify that the machine is parked.
Verify that the correct software is installed on the brake ECM.
Connect Cat ET.
Choose the menu item "Brake Control".
Select "Service" from the menu bar.
Select "Configuration" from the drop-down menu "Service".Another drop-down menu will appear. The menu will list each available configuration.
Highlight the parameter "Differential Cooler Installation Status".Note: On older versions of software, highlight the parameter "DCoolIns4096/4352".Select the parameter by using one of the following methods:
Double click the mouse button on the parameter.
Click on the "Change" button.
Depress the "Enter" button.
Select "Installed" or "Not Installed".Note: On older versions of software, select "4096" for "installed" status or "4352" for "not installed" status.
Exit Cat ET.
