(A) Payload HarnessPayload harness (A) from the rear chassis harness to the LH/RH suspension beam sensors may wear due to abrasion on the machines listed above.Payload harness (A) used in the 458-3353 Payload Wiring, 458-3354 Payload Wiring, 439-1130 Payload Sensor Wiring Gp, and 454-9856 Payload Sensor Wiring Gp may experience abrasion failure.

Harness damage
The abrasion may appear on the black colored woven glass fiber sleeve which makes up the flex joint between the chassis rail and the beam.Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem, and is recommending the following interim corrective action. In the event of failure, replace the failed with the same new part.Note: Ensure that the harness is routed clear of contact with the chassis rail and beam.
