Illustration 1 g01295054Note: Alignment of the pin joints is an important factor. The pins that are used in the pin joints are a slip fit. It is important to relieve the pin joint pressure from the pin joints that are being serviced. It is important to park the machine on a surface that is flat and level. Use the implement hydraulics, hoists, or suitable lifting devices in order to relieve the pin joint pressure. Use Illustration 1 as a guide for the pins and the pin joints that are referenced in this procedure.
Lower the bucket so that the bottom of the bucket is flat on the ground.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic oil system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Sytem Pressure - Release".

Attach Tooling (A) to bucket (1) and bucket link (2).

Remove bolts (3) and plate (4). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (B).
Install Tooling (B) to C-pin (5). The weight of Tooling (B) and C-pin (5) is approximately 113 kg (250 lb). Use Tooling (B) in order to remove C-pin (5).

Use Tooling (A) in order to lower bucket link (2). The weight of bucket link (2) is approximately 272 kg (600 lb).
Repeat Steps 3 through 6 for the other side.

Attach Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device to bucket (1). The weight of bucket (1) is approximately 4763 kg (10500 lb).

Remove bolts (6) and plate (7) from B-pin (9). Remove bolt (8) and plate (10) from B-pin (9) and collar (11).

Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (C).
Install Tooling (C) to B-pin (9). The weight of Tooling (C) and B-pin (9) is approximately 93 kg (205 lb). Use Tooling (C) in order to remove B-pin (9). Repeat for the other side.

Move outside collar (11) that was identified in Step 9 away from the boom. Collar (11) must be moved before the bucket can be removed. Use Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device in order to remove bucket (1).

Remove collars (11) from bucket (1). Note: Collars (11) are a slip fit to the bore of the B-pin.
