Illustration 7 g06239907The speed sensors are used to determine the rotational speed of the wheels. The speed sensors are active sensors and send pulse width modulated signals to the Machine ECM. The sensor sends one pulse per tooth edge. (Therefore two pulses per tooth).The sensors have a connector with three contacts. The sensors receive +8 V supply through contact 1 from connector contact J1-44. The left front sensor sends a signal to the Machine ECM through contact 3 at connector contact J1-3. The right front sensor sends a signal to the Machine ECM through contact 3 at connector contact J1-5. The left rear sensor sends a signal to the Machine ECM through contact 3 at connector contact J1-7. The right rear sensor sends a signal to the Machine ECM through contact 3 at connector contact J1-9. Contact 2, on all four sensors, is connected to the sensor return through connector contact J1-45.Switches
Switches provide one of the following types of input to the ECMs.
Open
Ground (-)
Battery (+)Switches are devises that have two states, Open and Closed.
When a switch is open, no signal is provided to the corresponding input of the ECM. This condition is also referred to as floating.
When a switch is closed, a ground signal (-) or a battery signal (+) is provided to the corresponding input of the ECM.Parking Brake Switch (Pull To Engage)
Illustration 8 g06109648The parking brake switch is an input of the Power Train ECM. The parking brake switch sends a signal to the Power Train ECM. The Power Train ECM engages or disengages the parking brake. The parking brake is engaged when the switch is in the on position. The parking brake is disengaged when the switch is in the off position.The parking brake switch is a double pole, double throw switch. when the switch is in the on position, connector contact 2 is normally (N/O), and connector contact 6 is normally closed (N/C) to frame ground.The Power Train ECM receives the signal and engages the parking brake. When the parking brake switch is moved to the off position, connector 2 is closed to frame ground and connector 6 is open. Signaling the Power Train ECM to disengage the parking brake.Connector contact 2 is connected to J2-30 of the Power Train ECM. Connector contact 6 is connected to J2-29 of the Power Train ECM. Connector contacts 3 and 4 are connected to frame ground. Connector contacts 1 and 5 are not used.Pilot and Brake Filter Bypass Switch

The pilot and brake bypass switch is a normally closed switch. The pilot and brake filter bypass switch provides a ground to the Implement ECM when activated.The switch has a connector with two contacts. Connector contact 1 is connected to J2-30 of the Implement ECM. Connector contact 2 is connected to frame ground.Outputs
