Remove the swing lock pin (1) when you operate the backhoe or when the swing lock pin is not required. Place the swing lock pin in the storage bracket (2) on the back of the machine.

Install the swing lock pin in order to ensure that the backhoe will not move. This will also ensure that the backhoe will not swing into objects or into traffic. Ensure that the swing lock pin is installed when the boom and the stick are not being used.
