The relief valves provide pressure relief to all oil that is flowing to the rear brake oil coolers. Pressure oil is sensed at the end of valve (2) through opening (8). When the oil pressure exceeds the relief pressure, valve (2) moves to the right. This compresses spring (4). This allows oil to flow past valve (2), through opening (7), and to the hydraulic tank.
