Install differential and bevel gear (42) .
Install Tooling (B) to hold differential and bevel gear (42) to the front axle housing.
Remove Tooling (C) .

Note: Bolts (41) cannot be reused. Always install new bolts.
Install bracket (40). Apply Tooling (D) to bolt threads prior to installation and install 22 bolts (41) .
Remove Tooling (B) and apply Tooling (D) to bolt threads prior to installation and install the remaining two bolts (41). Tighten 24 bolts (41) to a torque of 230 40 N m (170 30 lb ft) then turn an additional 120 10 degrees.

Install yoke (39) .
Attach a suitable lifting device to suspension frame (37). The weight of suspension frame (37) is approximately 560 kg (1235 lb).
Install the four bolts and four nuts (36) .
Install four bolts (38) .
Tighten four nuts (36) and four bolts (38) to a torque of 1800 200 N m (1330 150 lb ft).

Install four locknuts (35). Tighten locknuts (35) to a torque of 850 100 N m (625 75 lb ft).
Install mounts (32), (33) and (34) .

Connect hose assemblies (24), (25), (26), (27), (28), (29), (30) and (31) .

Connect lubrication hose assemblies (20), (21), (22) and (23) .

Install clamp (19) and two bolts (18) .

Position the two hoses and install the grommet, clip (17) and two bolts (16) .

Install hose assemblies (12), (13), (14) and (15) .

Install clips (9), (10) and (11) .
Install cable straps (6), (7) and (8) .

Install O-ring seal (4) to thrust pin (5). Install thrust pin (5) to the front axle housing.

Install cover (2) and two bolts (1). Tight two bolts (1) evenly to a torque of 47 N m (35 lb ft).
Measure the gap between cover (2) and the front axle housing.
Subtract 0.05 0.03 mm (0.002 0.001 inch) from the measurement found in Step 24. The corrected measurement is the thickness of shims that are required.
Remove two bolts (1) and cover (2) .

Install shims (3), cover (2) and two bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 100 20 N m (75 15 lb ft).End By:
Install the axle shafts. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Axle Shaft - Install".
Install the front axle housing and differential. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Front Axle Housing and Differential - Install".
