Charge Filter

The charge filter for the propel system is located on the left side of the machine inside the steps for the operator. Hydraulic oil filter (1) will filter all charge oil before the oil is routed to the propel system.Axle Propel Pump

Axle propel pump (2) is located underneath the operator platform. The axle propel pump sends oil to the axle motor. Shift valve (4) is located next to the axle propel pump on the left side of the machine underneath the operator platform. Brake valve (5) is an option for compactors that are equipped with axle brakes. The brake valve is located next to shift valve (4). The brake valve engages the axle brakes and the drum brake when the parking brake is applied.Axle Propel Motor

Axle propel motor (6) is bolted to the final drive planetary. The final drive planetary is bolted to the rear axle. The axle propel motor receives oil from the axle propel pump. Power is transmitted from the motor to the rear axle.Drum Propel Motor

Thermal bypass and return manifold valve (8) is located on the left side of the compactor under the operator platform. The return manifold contains the thermal bypass valve, which sends oil that needs to be cooled to the hydraulic oil cooler. Hydraulic oil cooler (9) is mounted between the radiator and the fuel cooler at the rear of the machine. The hydraulic oil cooler lowers the hydraulic oil temperature before the oil is returned to the hydraulic tank.
