Remove bolt (1) that fastens gear (2) in position on the shaft.

Remove gear (2) from the shaft with Tool (A).

Remove key (3) from the shaft.

Remove four bolts and cover (4). Remove two bolts (8) and retainer (7). Remove spring (6) and plunger (5) from the oil pump housing. Inspect the ring on plunger (5). Replace the ring if the ring is damaged.

Use Tool (B) to remove two bearings (9) from cover (4), if the cover is equipped with bearings.

Remove two shaft assemblies (10) from the oil pump body.

Remove the bolt and the washer that holds the drive gear (1) on the shaft.
Use Tooling (A) to remove the shaft. Remove the key from the shaft. Put alignment marks on the pump in order to assemble the gear and the shaft properly.

Remove retainer (3) from the bypass valve. Remove the spring and the bypass valve.
Remove bolts (4) from the pump body. Remove the pump body (2).
Use Tooling (B) to remove the bearing from the pump body (2).

Remove gear (7). Put identifying marks on the gears in order to be installed properly.
Remove spacer (6) from the main oil pump body (5). Use Tooling (B) to remove the bearing from the spacer (6). Note: Check condition of the spacer and the bearings. If the spacer or the bearings are damaged use new parts for replacement.
Remove the gears from the main oil pump body (5).
