Remove three bolts (A), three spacers (B), and cleaner bar (C) as shown in Illustration 6.

(D) Tube
Remove tube (D) from the battery box as shown in Illustration 7.
If any part of tube (D) is still attached, air arc the weld to remove the assembly.
Grind the surface flush and smooth.
Remove paint from the surfaces to be welded.Note: Refer to Special Instruction, REHS1841, "General Welding Procedures" for additional welding instructions.

Position tube (1) as shown in Illustration 8 with the bevel side towards the battery box.
Tack tube (1) in place.
Weld all around tube (1) following the weld instructions provided in Illustration 8.

Tack cover plate (2) in place.
Weld around cover plate (2) following the weld instructions provided in Illustration 9.

Position cleaner bar mount (3) as shown in Illustration 10.
Tack cleaner bar mount (3) in place.

(W3) 2 X 8 mm (0.3 inch) fillet weld along the bottom and 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) vertical surface weld
(3) Cleaner Bar Mount
With cleaner bar mount (3) tacked into place, weld along the bottom and vertical surface between the tube and mount on both sides. Refer to Illustration 11 for detailed welding instructions.
Clean up the rework area and primer the area with 4C-4205 Primer Paint followed with 4C-4200 Paint as required.

Reinstall cleaner bar mount (C) using three spacers (B) and three bolts (A) shown in Illustration 12.
Repeat Step 1 through Step 16 of "Rework Procedure" for the other side of the machine.
