Information:

Perform this maintenance with the engine stopped.
If the crankcase breather is not maintained on a regular basis, it can become plugged. A plugged breather will cause excessive crankcase pressure that may cause crankshaft seal leakage.

Open the rear access door on the right side of the machine.

Loosen hose clamp (2) and remove hose (1) from breather assembly (3).

Remove clamp assembly (4), breather assembly (3), and the seal.

Remove adapter (5) and remove both O-ring seals.
Wash the breather element in solvent that is clean and nonflammable. Allow the breather element to dry before installation.
Install a breather element that is clean and dry. Install breather assembly and the seal.
Install the hose on the breather assembly. Tighten the hose clamp.
Close the access door.
