Open the rear engine compartment access cover that is located on the left side of the machine.

Inspect the condition of the compressor drive belt. The belt should deflect 14 to 20 mm (0.6 to 0.8 inch) under 110 N (25 lb) of force.

If adjustment is necessary, loosen the compressor mounting bolt that is below the compressor (not shown) and the bolt in the adjustment bracket (arrow).
To achieve the correct belt tension, move the compressor inward or move the compressor outward. Tighten the compressor mounting bolt and the bolt in the adjustment bracket. Recheck the belt adjustment.
If necessary, repeat Steps 3 and 4 in order to obtain the correct amount of belt deflection.
