To prevent possible personal injury, make sure all the pressure in the air system is released before any air lines are disconnected.
1. Release the air pressure in the system. 2. Put identification marks on the two air lines for correct installation. Disconnect air lines (1) and (3) from governor control valve (2). 3. Remove clip (4), and remove pin (5) that holds the pedal to the plate. Remove pedal (6). 4. Turn the pedal over. Remove clip (7). Remove pin (8) and roller (9) from the pedal. 5. Remove spring (10). Remove the rubber and plunger (11). 6. Remove nut (12) that holds the valve in position. Remove governor control valve (3).7. Remove three bolts (13), and remove plate (14).Install Governor Control Valve
1. Put plate (1) in position, and install the three bolts that hold the plate to the floor plate. 2. Put governor control valve (3) in position as shown from the front of the cab. Install the nut from inside the cab that holds the valve in place.3. Install the spring on the plate. Install the rubber and plunger on the top of the valve.4. Connect air lines (2) and (4) to the governor control valve. 5. Put roller (5) in the pedal, and install pin (6) that holds the roller in the pedal. Install clip (7) that holds the pin in place. 6. Put pedal (9) in position on the plate, and install pin (8).7. Install the clip that holds pin (8) in position.End By:a. install cab front coverDisassemble Governor Control Valve
Start By:a. remove governor control valve 1. Remove six screws (1) that hold the governor control valve together. 2. Remove cover (9), O-ring seal (8), valve (7), seals (6), piston (5), shims (4) and spring (3) from housing (2). Remove the O-ring seals from inside cover (9).Assemble Governor Control Valve
1. Make sure all parts are clean. Put clean oil on all the seals. If the valve is defective, a replacement of the valve as a unit must be made.2. Install spring (2), piston (3), seals (4) and valve (7) in housing (1) as shown.3. Install O-ring seals (6) and (8) in cover (5).4. Put the cover in position on the housing, and install the six screws that hold it in place.End By:a. install governor control valve
