Installation Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

Install O-ring seal (8) and (7).

Position counterbalance valve (6) on the travel motor. Install bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 80 8 N m (59 6 lb ft).

Install hose assemblies (4), (3), (2), and (1).
Check the hydraulic oil level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hyrdaulic System Oil Level - Check" for the correct filling procedure.

Position travel motor guard (2) on the machine.
Install bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 130 10 N m (96 7 lb ft).
