Prior to installation of the boom links, clean the bores and apply Tooling (B) to the bores.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to left side boom link (8). The weight of left side boom link (8) is approximately 280 kg (615 lb). Install left side boom link (8) on the machine.

Install plate (18), plate (14), the washers, and bolts (15).
Install plate (17), the washer, and bolt (16) to the F-pin.

Install plate (11), plate (13), the washers, and two bolts (12).
Install plate (10), the washer, and bolt (9) to the E-pin.
Remove Tooling (A) from the boom link.

Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to right side boom link (1). The weight of boom link (1) is approximately 280 kg (615 lb).
Install boom link (1).

Install a new O-ring seal (6) on F-pin (7).

Install the O-ring seal between plate (5) and the F-pin.
Install plate (5), bolts (4), and the washers.

Install plate (3) and bolt (2) to the E-pin.
Remove Tooling (A) from the boom link.

Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to left side boom link (8). The weight of left side boom link (8) is approximately 280 kg (615 lb).
Add Tooling (C) to the grease zerks until grease seeps from the lip seals. End By:
Install the control for the tilt position. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tilt Position Control - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
