Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Do not attempt to disassemble the turbocharger cartridge assembly. The turbocharger cartridge assembly is not field serviced, and should be replaced only as a unit.

Position the turbocharger on a bench. Place alignment marks on compressor housing (6) , turbocharger cartridge (4) , and turbine housing (1) .
Remove bolts (3) and clamp plates (2) . Separate turbine housing (1) from turbocharger cartridge (4) . Remove the O-ring seal from the turbocharger cartridge.
Remove bolts (5) . Separate turbocharger cartridge (4) from compressor housing (6) .
