View of area (B) The new 8B-4884 Elbow (3) supersedes the former 3B-6487 Coupling in the 227-9992 Air Cleaner Gp and the 243-5157 Air Cleaner Gp .The new 5P-5630 Tube (1) supersedes the former 6V-1362 Hose in the 227-9992 Air Cleaner Gp and the 243-5157 Air Cleaner Gp. For the DLS and EED machines, install 1100 mm (43.3 inch) of tube. For the JRP machines, install 1400 mm (55.1 inch) of tube.The former 123-0275 Filter Connector has been removed from the 227-9992 Air Cleaner Gp and the 243-5157 Air Cleaner Gp .Two new 5P-2948 Fitting As (2) have been added to the 227-9992 Air Cleaner Gp and the 243-5157 Air Cleaner Gp. One fitting assembly is installed on the air cleaner group. One fitting assembly is installed on the air filter change indicator.In order to upgrade the earlier machines to the current configuration, all of the new parts must be installed together. The new parts are adaptable back to the machines EED1-556, DLS1-544 and JRP1-1249. The new parts became effective in production with the machines EED557-UP, DLS545-UP and JRP1250-UP.A second option exists in order to upgrade the air cleaner group on machines EED1-556, DLS1-544 and JRP1-1249. You can change the fitting that is installed on the air cleaner group in order to reduce restrictions that may develop between the air cleaner group and the air filter change indicator. Use the following procedure in order to upgrade the earlier machines by using the second option.

Remove the hoses (6) from the 123-0275 Fittings (7). Remove the fitting from the 3B-6487 Coupling (8) .

Apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant (5) to the threads of each 3B-6552 Elbow (4). Install one 3B-6552 Elbow to each 3B-6487 Coupling (8) .
Apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant (5) to the threads of each 123-0275 Fittings (7). Install the 123-0275 Fittings that were removed in Step 1 to the 3B-6552 Elbow (4) .
Attach the hoses (6) to the 123-0275 Fittings (7) .
