Apply Bostik Never-Seez Marine Grade to the inside and to the outside diameters of all collets prior to assembly.
   
Apply Bostik Never-Seez Marine Grade to all collet fastening bolts prior to assembly.    
Apply Cat Advanced 3 Moly Grease to the pin bores prior to assembly.    
Apply Loctite 609 to the seal groove prior to seal installation.    
( 1 ) Tighten the bolt and the nut to a torque of 1350 160 N m (1000 120 lb ft). After the bolt and nut are tight, hit the collet on each side with a heavy hammer until the torque on the bolt is less than 680 N m (50 lb ft). Tighten the bolt and the nut again to a torque of 1350 160 N m (1000 120 lb ft). Hit each collet again until the torque on the bolt and the nut is less than 1020 N m (750 lb ft). Tighten the bolt and the nut to a final torque of 1350 160 N m (1000 120 lb ft)
( 2 ) Retighten the bolts and nuts at the end of 50 hours service.
( 3 ) Tighten the bolt and the nut to a torque of 1800 200 N m (1330 145 lb ft). After the bolt and nut are tight, hit the collet on each side with a heavy hammer until the torque on the bolt is less than 950 N m (700 lb ft). Tighten the bolt and the nut again to a torque of 1800 200 N m (1330 145 lb ft). Hit each collet again until the torque on the bolt and the nut is less than 1600 N m (1180 lb ft). Tighten the bolt and the nut to a final torque of 1800 200 N m (1330 145 lb ft)
( 4 ) Retighten the bolts and nuts at the end of 50 hours service.
