5. For controlled dumping, engage the tilt control lever for a short period, then return it to HOLD. Repeat until the bucket is empty. 6. Shake the bucket to loosen sticky material. Move the tilt control lever back and forth quickly, allowing the arm to strike the stops.
Shaking the bucket by allowing the tilt arm to strike the stop unnecessarily, and repetitively, will result in accelerated wear and high maintenance cost of the loader linkage.
7. If possible, keep the wind to your back when dumping. This will help to keep the dust out of your eyes, and away from the engine.Loading From a Bank

1. Lower the bucket to the ground, and position it for a slight digging angle. Increase digging angle to aid penetration in hard earth. 2. Apply down pressure to the bucket as the loader starts forward. Return the lift control to HOLD when sufficient penetration is obtained. 3. Maintain level cuts, while moving forward, by raising and lowering the bucket with the lift control lever.4. Tilt the bucket back against stops when it is loaded. 1. Bucket used as a clamp: Open the bowl and position the bucket over the material to be loaded. Lower the bucket and close the bowl. For maximum dump height, or when unloading sticky material, position the bucket over the dump area and open the bowl. 2. Bucket used as a dozer: Open the bowl to use the blade for dozing. Maintain a level cut with the lift control. 3. Bucket used as a scraper: Raise the bowl slightly, and position the bucket as for dozing. When it is loaded, tilt the bucket back before closing the bowl.Ripping
Use FIRST speed for most ripping operations. It is better to use additional shanks, where practical, rather than to increase speed. Always use center shank when ripping with one shank. If material breaks up satisfactorily, more shanks may be used. Cross rip only when necessary. When ripping for scraper loading, rip in same direction that scrapers will load. Rip downhill whenever possible.
Do not turn or back the machine while shanks are in the ground. Twisting strain on the shanks and tips may cause failure.Inspect the ripper tips frequently for excessive wear.

In most cases it is desirable to rip as deep as possible. Sometimes it is better to rip at partial depth and remove the material in its natural layers.
