start by:a) remove ripper shank 1. Put blocks under the ripper frame (2) and put tooling (A) in position under the ripper beam (carriage) (1). Lower the weight of the ripper on to tooling (A).
The ripper beam (carriage) and ripper frame can move when the hydraulic cylinders are disconnected or removed. To prevent bodily injury, put correct blocks or stands under the ripper beam (carriage) and ripper frame as support for the weight. Hydraulic oil that is under pressure and hot can cause bodily injury. Move the control lever to relieve the pressure in the hydraulic system. Slowly loosen the cap to release any pressure in the hydraulic tank. Let the hydraulic oil become cool before any lines are disconnected in the hydraulic system.
3. Fasten tool (B) to the cylinder rod end (bottom) port and connect a hoist to lift cylinder (1).4. Remove plate (2) and pin (3). 5. Remove bolt (5), pin (4) and tubes (6).6. Remove ripper lift cylinder (1).Install Ripper Lift Cylinders
1. Fasten tool (A) to the threaded hole at the rod end cylinder port. Fasten a hoist to cylinder (3), put cylinder in position and install pin (2), tubes (1) and the bolts to hold pin (2) in position. 2. Install pin (4) through the ripper frame and lift cylinder rod eye. Install the plate to hold pin (4) in position. 3. Connect ripper lift cylinder hydraulic hoses (5) and (6) to ripper lift cylinder (3).
