Release hydraulic system pressure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the hydraulic oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil , Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Remove bolts (1) and railing (2).

Remove bolts (3) and plate (4).

Disconnect hose assemblies (5).

Remove bolt (6) and disconnect hose assembly (7).

Remove bolts (8) and (9). Reposition hose assembly (10). Disconnect hose assemblies (11).

Disconnect hose assembly (13) and remove tube (14).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to hydraulic tank (15). The weight of hydraulic tank (15) is approximately 817 kg (1800 lb).

Remove bolts (16) and hydraulic tank (15). Installation Procedure
Install hydraulic tank (15) in the reverse order of removal.
Install the correct shims under tank in order to level the tank.
Apply Tooling (B) to bolts (16) before installing
Tighten bolts (16) to a torque of 520 70 N m (384 52 lb ft)
