120 through 24 Series M, Series M2, Series M3 and Series L model Motor Graders have been built with updated design captured spring implement valves. Some failures on the captured spring implement valve may continue to accumulate.Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem, but an Interim Repair has not been defined. See the below instruction.If a failure happens, replace with same part and contact one of the following so a "Send-It-Back" (SIB) request can be created.

If the 380-0819 Spring is replaced, send it, and all four 380-0794 Retainers back to Caterpillar.
If the entire single control valve group section is removed, send it back to Caterpillar.
If the replacement spring fails, send the entire single control valve group section back to Caterpillar.

Part Number / Serial Number Tag is on side of inlet manifold
If a spring fails, record the part number and serial number of the test valve group, and indicate which section of the single control valve group section within the test valve group failed. Part number and serial number locations for the test valve group are shown in Illustration 1.
