Inspect side plates (A) for pre-drilled holes (B). If the holes are present, skip the following step.

(C) 17.2 mm (0.67 inch)
(D) 51.2 mm (2.01 inch)
(E) 89.1 mm (3.50 inch)
(F) 71.3 mm (2.80 inch)
On each side plate (A) drill 2, 11 mm holes at the locations specified in Illustration 3. Templates are available for printing. Refer to Special Instruction, UENR6639, Template for Hole Locations to Drill and Tap Coupler Right Side. Use 100 percent output size for print preferences.

Install bracket (2) on each side plate using bolts (7) and washers (5). Tighten the bolts to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft). Orient the brackets as shown in Illustration 5.

Install plate (4) using bolts (7) and washers (5). Tighten the bolts to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).

Lower the coupler parallel to the ground.

If the coupler is equipped with a manual coupler, install plate (3). Install the plate using two bolts (6) and two washers (5). Tighten the bolts to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).

If the coupler is equipped with plate assembly (G), remove the two bolts (H) and washers (J) that secure the assembly and remove.

If the machine is equipped with an electric coupler, install guard cover (1). Install the cover using two bolts (6) and two washers. Tighten the bolts to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
