Certain fire trucks built by Pierce Manufacturing Company that are powered by C13 Engines could have loose mounting bolts on the air cleaner mounting bracket. Failure of the bolted joint can allow the air filter cannister to come in contact with the engine exhaust components.Solution
Check the mounting bolts on the mounting bracket on engines with the serial numbers listed above in fire trucks built by Pierce Manufacturing Company. If the bolts are found to be loose, inform the customer to contact the local Pierce dealer and note the action taken in SIMSi.
