Information:
Procedure To Reinforce Back Side Of Ejector Assembly
1. Fabricate two reinforcing plates (A) from 8 mm (.3 in) thick mild steel as shown in Illustration 1.
Illustration 1. Dimensions for fabricated reinforcing plate (A).2. Use an air carbon arc torch or similar tool to separate plates (B) and strut (C) from just one side of the ejector.3. Use a grinder to smooth the back side of the ejector where the new reinforcing plate is to be installed. Also, grind the strut and plates smooth in the areas where they were separated from the ejector. Remove all paint and foreign material and moisture from the areas to be welded.4. Put the fabricated reinforcing plate in position on the back of the ejector. Weld the fabricated reinforcing plate to the back of the ejector. See Illustration 2.
