Do not ground the welder to electrical components such as the ECM or sensors. Improper grounding can cause damage to the drive train bearings, hydraulic components, electrical components, and other components.Clamp the ground cable from the welder to the component that will be welded. Place the clamp as close as possible to the weld. This will help reduce the possibility of damage.

Remove existing mirrors on both sides of the cab as shown in Illustration 1.
Install the 166-3416 Rear View Mirror Gp (EXTERIOR, RH) (1) on the right side of cab.
Install the 166-3417 Rear View Mirror Gp (EXTERIOR, LH) (2) on the left side of cab.

Locate existing plate on the bottom of the left side hand rail. Remove bumper, washer, and nut from existing plate. Refer to Illustration 2.

(B) Back edge of new plate is flush with old plate. (C) New plate should be welded 14 mm (0.50 inch) beneath the old plate.
The new 355-9891 Plate (3) will be located on the handrail 14 mm (0.50 inch) beneath the old plate as shown in Illustration 3. The back edge of the new plate should be flush with the old plate.
