Information:

Connect the steering frame lock.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery Disconnect Switch".
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "System Pressure - Release".

Install Tooling (A) onto the hydraulic tank. Attach an air supply hose onto Tooling (A). Apply 138 kPa (20 psi). This procedure will pull a vacuum on the hydraulic system.

Remove panel (1) on the left side.

Disconnect hose assemblies (2) and harness assemblies (3). Remove bolts (4) and position bracket (5) out of the way.

Remove cotter pin (6). Remove bolt (7) and pin assembly (8) .

Remove cotter pin (9) and bolt (10). Disconnect hose assemblies (11). Remove pin assembly (12). Use two people to remove articulation cylinder (13). The weight of articulation cylinder (13) is approximately 34 kg (75 lb).

Remove seal assemblies (14) .
Remove pin (5) and remove the washer (not shown).

Use Tooling (B) to remove bearing (15). Repeat the process for the other side.Disassembly and Assembly Information

Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

(1) Apply Tooling (H) to the threads of bolt (1). (2) Apply Tooling (J) to wiper seal groove (2) prior to assembly. (3) Tighten head (3) to a torque of 600 130 N m (443 96 lb ft). (4) Lubricate sealing lips with a thin covering of the lubricant that is being sealed.Installation Procedure
Install articulation cylinder (13) in the reverse order of removal.
Use Tooling (D) to install bearing (15) .
