The 437-5528 Lifting Device was designed to be used on Off-Highway Trucks in order to remove the frame assembly from the shipping trailer during initial machine build. The 437-5528 Lifting Device is a large welded steel structure in the form of a shackle.Note: The 437-5528 Lifting Device can be used in multiple rigging setups where a 18,144 kg (40,000 lb) rated lifting device is needed.The 437-5528 Lifting Device is used on the upper rear suspension pin bores of the frame.

The 437-5528 Lifting Device does not need to be used with shackles. however, if your attachment hooks are not large enough to fit through the 127 mm (5 inch) hole provided in the tool, then shackles will be required.Use one 193-5474 Shackle per lifting device. This will allow for usage of smaller hooks.

Inspection
Use a straight edge before and after each use to determine if the lifting device is bent or twisted.

Clean the tooling using a non-solvent based cleaner.Storage
Store the tooling in a clean, dry location to prevent rust or corrosion. Tooling can be damaged by moisture or high humidity.
Store the lifting device with the shackle installed in order that the tools remain in a group.Tool Disposal
At the end of the operational life of the tool, destroy the tool and dispose of as scrap.
