Parking Brake Lever in the ENGAGED Position (1) Parking brake lever. Pull the parking brake lever (1) upward in order to engage the parking brake.

Parking Brake Lever in the DISENGAGED Position (1) Parking brake lever. (2) Release button. Depress the release button (2) and push the parking brake lever (1) downward in order to disengage the parking brake.

Parking Brake Control (1) Parking brake lever. (2) Release button. (3) Switch. (4) Cable. (5) Cable. (6) Brake caliper. (7) Spring. (8) Connector. (9) Lever.The parking brake control has two cables (4) and (5) . The cables are connected by a connector (8) . The cable ends and the connector are located on the left side of the machine below the cab. The parking brake control is adjusted in this location. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Parking Brake Control - Adjust" for the procedure to adjust the parking brake control.When the parking brake is engaged, the parking brake lever (1) pulls the cable (4) . The cable (4) pulls the cable (5) . The cable (5) pulls up on the lever (9) . The lever (9) mechanically operates the brake caliper (6) . Refer to Systems Operation, "Service and Parking Brake" for information on the operation of the brake caliper.When the parking brake is disengaged, a spring inside the brake caliper and the spring (7) return the lever (9) and the cables (4) and (5) to the released position.

Right Side of the Steering Column (10) Alert indicator for the parking brake. (11) Alert Indicator for NEUTRAL position.When the parking brake is engaged, the hydrostatic drive will shift to neutral. The alert indicator for the parking brake (10) will come on. The alert indicator for the NEUTRAL (11) will come on. The switch (3) initiates these functions.
