Assembly Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Put retainer (1), pinion (2), and washer (5) in position on shaft (6). Install bolt (7).
Install new O-ring seals (15) on shaft (6). Put clean engine oil on the O-ring seals.
Install shaft (6) in the bracket assembly.
Put the spacer in position on shaft (6). Install guide (3). Do not tighten the guide at this time.
Put spring (4) and washer (10) in position on the shaft. Install ring (8).
Put stem (14) and spring (9) in position in the bracket assembly. Install guide (11).
Install nut (12) and knob (13) on stem (14).
Tighten guide (3) to a torque of 270 25 N m (200 18 lb ft). End By:
Install the manual barring group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Manual Barring Group - Install".
