MODELS INVOLVED - 416E, 420E and 430E
Dear Caterpillar Product Owner:
Cease hoe operation of your 416E, 420E, or 430E Backhoe Loaders immediately. The stick may catastrophically fail in the stick and bucket cylinder pivot points. The failure may result in uncontrollable movement of the stick, which may result in personal injury or death.
The hoe should not be operated until a resolution is communicated. Please contact the dealer who will Tag out the hoe controls by placing a "Do Not Operate" tag on the hoe controls. The front loader may be operated on all machines.
Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 26Jul2006 when scheduling this service.
