Information:
This article is intended to provide parts and service information about a new family of electrical connectors that is being phased into production. This is the Deutsch HD-10 family of hard plastic-shell electrical connectors. These connectors can accommodate from three to nine wires. The connector bodies are round, and made of light gray plastic. The bodies have a bayonet locking ring. The chart and illustrations identify the new connectors and components.
(1) 3E5394 Receptacle. (2) 8T8734 Receptacle.
(3) 9W1951 Receptacle. (4) 8T8736 Receptacle. (5) 7X6195 Receptacle. (6) 7X6217 Receptacle.
(7) 8T8735 Plug. (8) 9W0847 Plug. The Deutsch pins and sockets require the 1U5804 Hand Crimp Tool. They cannot be crimped with a standard "pliers-type" crimp tool. Deutsch pins and sockets are plated and cannot be soldered.
The 4C3406 Connector Kit is available to service the Deutsch connectors. The kit includes: One 1U5804 Hand Crimp Tool.Five 1U5805 Electrical Connector removal tools (green in color, for 14 ga.).Ten 8T5318 Electrical Connector removal tools (blue in color, for 16/18 ga.).Assorted plugs, receptacles, pin, sockets, etc.
