Information:
Service the engine air precleaners only when the engine is stopped. Engine damage could result.
Park the machine on a level surface and stop the engine. Make sure that the transmission control is in the PARK position.

Remove access cover (1) and precleaner housing cover (2).

Remove dust valve (3) from the dust valve tube.
Clean the inside of the precleaner housing, the dust valve tube, and the dust valve with one of the following methods:
Air pressure
Vacuum cleaning
Inspect the seal for the precleaner housing cover. If the seal is damaged, replace with a new seal. Install the precleaner housing cover.
Install the access cover.
Inspect the dust valve for damage. If the dust valve is damaged, replace with a new dust valve. Install the dust valve. Ensure that the dust valve is properly seated over the retaining rib to prevent the dust valve from becoming dislodged. Note: Operating the machine with a missing or damaged dust valve will shorten the filter life and the maintenance interval for the air filters.
