These new groups include new hose assemblies which resist deterioration cause by the high temperature coolant flowing through them.Adaptable To: The new 6I1039 (3508 Left Side) and 6I1040 (3508 Right Side) Jacket Water Heater Mounting Groups are direct replacements for the former 4P4994 (3508 Left Side) and 4P4996 (3508 Right Side) Jacket Water Heater Mounting Groups respectively. The former groups are canceled. The major difference between the new and former jacket water heater mounting groups are the hose assemblies. The new hose assemblies in the new groups are adaptable as direct replacements for the hose assemblies in the former groups. Charts A and B identify hose assemblies. Illustrations 1 and 2 identify the typical locations of the hose assemblies. All new hose assemblies should installed so as to maintain a gradual rise from the jacket water heater port to the engine block.
