Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Lubricate all of the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
Install the O-ring seal to the differential carrier assembly.

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device on transmission (3). The weight of transmission (3) and the transfer gears is approximately 1179 kg (2600 lb).

Position transmission (3) and the transfer gears to the machine. The weight of transmission (3) and the transfer gears is 1179 kg (2600 lb). Install bolts (19) that hold transmission (3) to the differential carrier assembly.

Connect harness assembly (17) to speed sensor (18). Tighten the nut clockwise with Tooling (B) (not shown) and insert the wire lock to the next hole in the clockwise direction.

Install guard (15), the grommet, the spacer, two bolts (14) and the washers to the transmission. Install a new tie strap (16) to the transmission.

Connect hose assembly (13) to transmission (3).

Connect hose assemblies (12) and (11) to transmission (3).

Install the clips and bolt (10) that holds the hose assembly to transmission (3).

Connect hose assembly (8) to transmission (3). Install the clip to transmission (3).
Connect harness assemblies (9) to the manifold assembly. Tighten the nut clockwise with Tool (A) (not shown) and insert the wire lock to the next hole in the clockwise direction.

Install the clip and bolt (7) to transmission (3). Connect two harness assemblies (6).

Install the clip and bolt (5) to transmission (3).

Position guard assembly (1) and install bolts (4) to transmission (3).

Install bolts (2) that hold guard assembly (1) to transmission (3).
Refill the torque converter. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Torque Converter Sump Oil - Change". End By:
Install the drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft - Remove and Install".
