A new cam wick is properly impregnated with lubricant. The magneto cam wick (1) should be replaced either when the breaker contact points are replaced or after approximately six months, whichever occurs first. See your Caterpillar dealer. Clean the breaker point contact surfaces to remove any lubricant after a new cam wick has been installed.Magneto (American Bosch)
