1     -     -     Apply adhesive side of seal to top of striker bar box assembly. Apply petroleum jelly to side opposite the adhesive before assembling cover plate to striker bar box assembly.    
2     -     -     Clean all the surfaces that will have adhesive backed seals. Start angled surface of seal mated to top of the bottom plate. Route seal from start to tangency of box openings and terminate seal at location stamped "X".    
3     1     7X-0349 Bolt     Torque to the maximum of
35 N m (26 lb ft).    
4     -     -     Install the seal so that the seal starts at rear of the flange and overhangs other end of the flange.
