CAESultra Positioning Module
The MS9xx CAESultra Positioning Module consists of an integrated GPS Receiver and GPS antenna. The GPS antenna receives ranging information from the GPS satellite constellation. The GPS receiver calculates the machine position utilizing the satellite data from the GPS antenna and correction information from a reference station via the radio network. This D3:C4 Nav 10.4 Display contains computer electronics and an LCD screen. The display calculates the machine kinematics and productivity information based on the GPS data from the CPM. The module communicates system data to and from the METSmanager office system via the on-board radio. The primary functions of the display are to perform the machine kinematics calculations, display site information and machine movement to the operator, and perform productivity calculations when requested. In addition to these primary functions, the display provides an interface between CAESultra and other systems on the machine, manages system communications, performs system diagnostics, and manages power-up and power-down of the other components in the CAESultra system.On-Board Radio Module
The on-board radio module provides communications with the METS telemetry network. The radio module also receives GPS corrections from the reference station. The radio module has two ports for communication. The first port receives GPS reference data. This data is passed to the GPS receiver in the CPM. The second port provides data communications between METSmanager and the display.
