Schematic Of The Governor Actuator Motor And Test HarnessStop the engine. Put the pump backup switch in the "AUT" position. Place the start switch in the "ON" position. Do not start the engine.During the sweep test, you should use a 6V-7070 Digital Multimeter in order to check the voltages across different connections on the harness of the governor actuator motor. The above drawing shows the governor actuator motor and the test harness. In order to check the signal for acceleration, the test leads from the 6V-7070 Digital Multimeter should be connected to connector contact 2 and contact 4 on the test harness. In the cycle time from one to three seconds, the voltage should be from 26 volts to 27 volts. Connect the test leads to contacts 2 and 5 in order to check the signal for deceleration. In a cycle time of one to three seconds, the voltage should be from 26 to 27 volts. Connect the test leads to contact 2 and contact 3 in order to check the signal for the position of the governor actuator. The voltage of the signal should be from 0.7 to 8.5 Volts. The signal for the position and the signal for the acceleration should occur at the identical time. The view at the lower right will show the location of the wires in the connector. The engine speed will change from being high to being low at the identical time of the sweep test signal, if the engine is running during the test.Enter the service mode that was described earlier. Enter service code 61 in the two left positions of the character display. The two right numbers of the character display will read "oF". No signal current to the governor is available at this time. The fine control mode switch is pressed in order to move the flashing character to the right two positions. The alarm cancel switch is pressed and the display should show "on" in the two right positions. This display indicates that the sweep test signal to the governor actuator motor is turned on.
