1. Remove two bolts (1), and remove oil supply tube assembly (2). Remove two bolts (3), and loosen hose clamps (4). Move drain tube assembly (5) out of the way of the turbocharger.2. Remove four nuts (6). Remove the turbocharger and gasket from the exhaust manifold.3. Loosen clamps (7) and (8). Remove the compressor housing and turbine housing from the turbocharger group. The following steps are for the installation of the turbocharger.4. Install the compressor housing and turbine housing in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the compressor housing clamp to a torque of 7.3 .6 N m (65 5 lb in). Tighten the turbine housing clamp to a torque of 15.8 .6 N m (140 5 lb in). Do not over-torque the clamp plate bolts on either part.5. Check the condition of the gasket used between the turbocharger and the exhaust manifold. If the gasket is worn or damaged, use a new part for replacement.6. Put clean engine oil in the inlet of the turbocharger before installation to provide start up lubrication and/or storage protection.7. Apply 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound to turbocharger mounting studs. Position the gasket and the turbocharger on the exhaust manifold. Install four nuts (6). Tighten the nuts to a torque of 55 5 N m (40 4 lb ft).8. Check the condition of the gaskets used between the oil supply and drain tubes and the turbocharger. If the gaskets are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.9. Position the gasket and drain tube assembly (5) on the turbocharger. Install bolts (3) and the washers that hold it. Tighten two hose clamps (4) to a torque of 12 1 N m (9 1 lb ft).10. Connect oil supply tube assembly (2) to the turbocharger. Be sure the nut on the other end of the oil supply tube assembly is tight.
