start by:a) remove blade 1. Lower the rear of the circle to the ground. Put tooling (A) under the front of the circle. 2. Remove two nuts (1) washer and bolts that hold shoe (2) in place. Remove the shoe and the shims from the circle.3. Put identification on the shoe and shims for correct installation. 4. Remove shoe (3) and the shims from the other side. Put identification on the shoe and shims for correct installation. 5. Start the engine. Move the machine back until the two front shoes (5) and circle drive pinion will clear the circle.6. Lift circle drawbar (4) to its maximum height.7. Fasten a hoist to the front of the circle. Lift the circle. Remove tooling (A). Lower the circle to the ground. Remove the hoist. Remove circle (6) from under the machine.Install Circle
1. Put circle (1) in position under the machine. Fasten a hoist to the front of the circle. Lift the front of the circle and install tooling (A). 2. Start the engine. Lower circle drawbar (3) into position above the circle. Move the machine forward until circle drive pinion (2) and the two shoes are engaged with the circle. Lower the circle drawbar on to the circle. When the clearance checks between the circle and the circle drawbar are made, the front shoes must be checked also with the same procedure. 3. Put shoe (4) on each side of the circle in position against the circle without the shims. Install the bolts and nuts (5) that hold the shoes in place. Tighten nuts (5) until the shoes just make contact with the circle. Use a feeler gauge and measure the distance between the shoes and the circle bar. 4. Install shims (6) that are the same thickness as the measured distance plus .02 to .09 in. (0.5 to 2.3 mm). Put the shoes in position on the circle drawbar. Install but do not tighten the bolts that hold the shoes to the circle drawbar. Make an adjustment of the side clearance of the shoes with the following procedure: a) Tighten setscrews (7) until the shoes are against the inside of the circle.b) Loosen setscrews (7) until the circle is just free to turn.c) Tighten nuts (8). Tighten the bolts and nuts (5) that hold the shoes to the circle drawbar.
