Step 16: If equipped with ride control reorient 148-8393 Elbow and 243-0933 Hose to a horizontal position in order to provide clearance with 3rd function hoses 296-2927 and 296-2928. (Tighten to a torque of 86 +/- 8 Nm) (Images 2.3.1 & 2.3.2)

Step 17: Remove connectors at circled locations 15,19 and 20. (Image 2.4.1)
Step 18: Install 1 piece of the 5K9090 and 1 piece of the 7M8485 into 6V9005 elbow. Install elbow into port marked 15 facing the front of the machine. (Torque to 300 +/- 30 Nm)(may need to grind bracket to turn elbow) (Image 2.4.1)
Step 19: 4th function only. Install 2 pieces of the 5K9090 and 2 pieces of the 6V8398 into 2 pieces of the 9X8408 connector. Install 9X9408 connector into the 4th function valve stack ports marked 19 and 20. (Torque to 300 +/- 30 Nm) (Image 2.4.1)
Step 20: 4th function only. Install 1 piece of the 6V8398 into 1 piece of the 8C8989 elbow. Install the 8C8989 elbow onto rearmost connector in the 4th function valve stack. Position elbow to face toward front of machine. (Torque to 55 +/- 5 Nm)
Step 21: Attach 296-2928 hose to connector on 3rd function implement valve front port marked 14. (Tighten hose to a torque of 165 +/- 15 Nm) (Image 2.4.1)

Step 22: If 3rd function hose, 296-2928, contacts the main frame, loosen 7 8T-4195 mounting bolts on the 281-4782 implement valve bracket and 2 8T-4136 mounting bolts on the engine end frame bracket. Move both brackets rearward on the machine to provide clearance between the 3rd function hose, 296-2928, and the main frame. (Tighten the bolts to a torque of 55 +/- 5 Nm) (Note: Do not use reusable hose couplings for this hose assembly due to interference with frame)
If the 3rd function hose, 296-2928, still contacts the main frame, remove the 281-4782 implement valve Bracket and slot the mounting holes. Reinstall the bracket replacing the 8T4121 washers with 7X-7729 washers and follow the same procedure as described in above to provide adequate clearance between 3rd function hose and main frame. (Tighten the bolts to a torque of 55 +/- 5 Nm) (Image 2.5.1)

STEP 23: Attach the 296-2927 hose to the implement valve 3rd function rear port elbow.
