Installation Procedure
Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.
Lubricate O-ring seals with an appropriate lubricant.
Install the O-ring to the spindle.

Place brake housing (5) on a hydraulic table, or a lifting device.
Position the brake housing assembly to the machine. The weight of the assembly is 275 kg (606 lb). Install 26 bolts (6) and the washers that secure brake housing (5) to axle housing (7). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 430 60 N m (317 44 lb ft).
Install the O-ring to hose assembly (4). Connect the hose assembly.
Install the two O-rings to hose assemblies (3). Install the eight bolts, the washers, and the four half clamps that secure the hose assemblies.

Position cover (2) to the machine. Install three bolts (1) and the washers that secure the cover.
Check and fill the level of the oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7064, "Hoist, Steering, and Brake System Oil Level - Check" for the proper procedure.
Engage the parking brake. Place the gear selector in the neutral position. Start the engine and pump the brakes. Check for a hard pedal. Check the brake lines for leaks.End By: Install the wheel. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel - Install".
