6V109 and 1P850 Torque Multipliers. When the 1P850 Torque Multiplier was released it was a Sweeney 8100 type "C", with a maximum torque rating of 7500 lb ft (10 180 N m). Later it was changed to a Sweeney 8100 type "D" with a 10000 lb ft (13 500 N m) rating. The Caterpillar part number did not change. The Sweeney model number is shown on a plate on the bottom of the multiplier. The 6V109 Torque Multiplier must be used only with the Sweeney 8100 type D.
