Remove & Install EUI (Electronic Unit Injectors)
Start By:a. remove rocker arm assemblies and push rods 1. Remove plug (1) and drain the fuel from the cylinder head assembly into a suitable container for disposal. 2. Disconnect wires (2) and remove fuel injector hold down bolt (3). 3. Use a pry bar under hold down (5), and pry fuel injector (4) out of the cylinder head assembly. Remove the fuel injector. The following steps are for the installation of the fuel injectors.4. Use new parts for the replacement of the fuel injector seals during installation. 5. Use Tool (A) to ream the injector sleeve until the sleeve has been cut to provide a full length concentric taper past the tip seal/sleeve inter face. Refer to the procedure in special instruction SEHS9246.6. Lubricate the new seals with STP Engine Oil Treatment. Install the new seals on fuel injector (4). Position the fuel injector in the head with hold down (5) in place. First, push down on the EUI return spring to seat the fuel injector. Apply Molycote paste lubricant to the threads and install hold down bolt (3). Pull fuel injector (4) completely into the bore. Tighten hold down bolt (3) to a torque of 30 N m (22 lb ft).7.
